Researchers from leading online marketplace, OnBuy, have uncovered a host of thrills for Brits, with getting a good bargain (41 percent) coming higher in the thrill stakes, than a passionate night with your other half (23 percent).
In fact, sensible Britons say seeing an orderly queue (31 percent) gives them more of a buzz than receiving a saucy text (19 percent), while one in three (29 percent) think a glass of wine is more exciting than riding a rollercoaster (24 percent).
One in four (26 percent) admit that parking the car perfectly the first time gets their heart racing more than watching the bin men take the rubbish away (23 percent), while nailing a Tik Tok dance (26 percent) is considered more thrilling than completing a Sudoku (21 percent).
Nearly two in ten (19 percent) get more of a buzz getting an answer right on University Challenge, than going on a wild night out with their mates (16 percent).
But it’s bagging a bargain which really floats the nation’s boats, and one in five (20 percent) even admitted to getting a rush just from buying something, no matter how big or small the purchase was.
Shoppers in York (32 percent), Aberdeen (30 percent) and London (30 percent) get the biggest thrill from a purchase, along with those in Oxford (26 percent) and Leeds (25 percent).

The survey went on to find that six in ten (60 percent) embrace and love getting a thrill from small moments like bagging a bargain, hearing a song they love on the radio and sleeping in fresh sheets.
Over two-thirds (68 percent) go a step further and believe that it is important to feel excited where you can, especially with the way life is at the moment.

Elsewhere, their research showed on average, the nation experiences an average of 16 little thrills a week, with a third (35 percent) making a special effort to celebrate them. A further third (33 percent) encourage friends and family to do the same and revel in their mini boosts.
One in five (19 percent) are experiencing more small, exciting moments now compared to last year, in contrast to the 14 percent who are experiencing less.
Despite this, 21 percent confess their life isn’t exciting, while 57 percent say it can be but only sometimes. One in five (20 percent) WISH their life was more exciting.
One in ten (11 percent) say their life isn’t very exciting and they like it that way.
